The Chinese professional football league (CSL) has been in turmoil recently as several clubs have struggled to secure their survival. One such club is Qingdao Eagles, who find themselves in the relegation zone and facing a tough fight to stay in the top tier of Chinese football.

In a bid to turn things around, Qingdao Eagles have appointed a new team manager to lead the squad into the final stretch of the season. The decision was announced on Tuesday, with the club stating that they had "relegated" their current head coach, Zhang Jun, amid the club's struggles.

Zhang Jun, who took over as head coach in January this year, has been at the helm of the Eagles since his appointment. However, the team has failed to live up to expectations, and they currently sit at the bottom of the table, just one point above the relegation zone.

To make matters worse, Qingdao Eagles have also lost two key players in recent weeks, which has further weakened their chances of survival. Despite these setbacks, the club remains hopeful that a change in management will bring about a resurgence.

In response to the news of Zhang Jun's resignation, Qingdao Eagles CEO Xu Xiaodong said: "We believe that our new team manager can help us turn things around and give us a fighting chance of staying in the CSL."

Xu Xiaodong went on to say that the club would be looking for a replacement for Zhang Jun soon, and he expressed confidence that the new manager would be able to deliver results and ensure the Eagles' survival.

Despite the challenges they face, Qingdao Eagles remain committed to their survival and will continue to work hard to achieve it. With the support of their fans and the belief in their ability to succeed, the Eagles hope to bounce back and secure their place in the CSL next season.
